2024 Work Plan

A significant focus for FEO this year will revolve around two key themes for the Oakville community: residential and industrial energy education.

Our home energy education series will help local homeowners understand the complexities of residential energy transformation and the opportunities available to them. In today’s rapidly evolving energy landscape, understanding the energy technologies and incentive programs is more crucial than ever. Through this initiative, we are aiming to provide resources and expert guidance to the community that will help remove some of the unknowns of transitioning to sustainable energy solutions.

In order to bring greater insight and understanding to the potential of district energy strategies, we are partnering with some other GTA organizations to develop a district energy forum event.  This event would focus on bringing together municipal leaders and staff along with developers and real estate owners in order to present successful district energy strategies locally and across Canada.  This event would be targeted at a broad audience which could then be followed up with specific workshop events that focus on specific areas of focus that require more solution development.

In partnership with the Town of Oakville, we will also be developing a project plan to update the Community Energy Strategy . More details will be forthcoming on this soon.

Together, we are making strides towards a greener, more sustainable future for Oakville and beyond. Thank you for being a part of this journey with FEO. We look forward to continuing to share our progress and achievements with you throughout 2024 and the years ahead.

Warm regards,

Wayne Steffler

Executive Director
